About Joe

Name: Joe Shipton

Job Title: Marketing Manager

Previous recruitment/work (if none then education) experience?

I was Group Marketing Manager for an Industrial Automation distributor. This meant that I was tasked with marketing products ranging from sensors for rollercoasters to furnaces for steelworks.

What do you like (think you’ll like) about your recruitment?

The modern and fast paced environment!

What do you do outside of work? (only things fit for the public to know 😉)

I love a good film (I’m a softy, so a rom-com is the way to my heart)

Cooking: I love the freedom it gives and lets me switch off.

I’m a nerd, so if I’m not fixing old cameras, I’ll be playing around with a 3D printer.

In terms of sport, I’m an avid runner while I also support Arsenal.

Favourite quote?

“Taking on a challenge is a lot like riding a horse, isn't it? If you're comfortable while you're doing it, probably doing it wrong.” Ted Lasso.

In another life, I'm pretty sure I was goldfish – I’m just useless at remembering things!

If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd start a film archiving company. And, you know, keep working here.

If I wasn’t so good at my job, I'd probably be travelling across Eastern Europe & Russia.

If I were a superhero, my superpower would be Power Absorption (I’m that guy)
