Secondary School Science Technitian - Milton Keynes Based

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Technician to join a vibrant Secondary School in Milton Keynes. As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the science department by preparing materials, assisting with experiments, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science experiments and demonstrations
  • Assist teaching staff and students during practical science lessons
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in science laboratories
  • Ensure all equipment is safely stored and properly maintained
  • Support teachers with administrative tasks related to science lessons
  • Contribute to the development of practical resources and experiments

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Science Technician in a UK educational setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (desirable)
  • Valid safeguarding certification (desirable)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
