Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Technician to join a vibrant Secondary School in Milton Keynes. As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the science department by preparing materials, assisting with experiments, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science experiments and demonstrations
- Assist teaching staff and students during practical science lessons
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in science laboratories
- Ensure all equipment is safely stored and properly maintained
- Support teachers with administrative tasks related to science lessons
- Contribute to the development of practical resources and experiments
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Science Technician in a UK educational setting
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (desirable)
- Valid safeguarding certification (desirable)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
