When it comes to finding a job it can sometimes be challenging and time consuming. From spending hours scouring the internet to find a role, then completing applications forms which take hours at a time, it becomes an impossible process, especially on top of an already busy life actually being a teacher. Working with Dunbar Education can make it a whole lot easier – and here is why:
No Applications Forms
As we well know, the dreaded application form is an incredibly time consuming thing and can in many occasions actually STOP someone from applying for a job that they otherwise may have enquired about. By registering with Dunbar we speak to you about your experience and then just ask for an up to date CV. We then speak to the schools we are working with about your experience and use your CV when putting you forward for each role you’re interested in.
The relationships we have with schools means that a CV and a recommendation from a Dunbar consultant is enough to secure an interview and the days of spending hours completing an application form – to sometimes never hear back – are long gone.
Dedicated Consultant (who know their stuff)
When you register with Dunbar you will have a dedicated consultant who has details knowledge of schools in your area. We regularly visit our schools and are in contact with local teachers so this means that we will not only provide you with job opportunities but will also offer advice and guidance which you might not be able to find from an Ofsted report or through your own research.
You will be given and honest assessment of each school and how it meets what you are looking for. It is important for this to be the right match for both the school and the teacher and know that a taking a new role is something with great significance in a teacher’s life and career make sure we are helping you to make the right decision.
As well as knowing about each school, and therefore which ones most suit what you are looking for, we also know about roles which are not advertised online. As advertising costs increase, and the applications decrease, lots of schools will no longer advertise on the TES or other sites, let alone their own website.
With the relationships and partnerships we have with schools we know about a huge number positions which have never, and will never be advertised online.
We not only support you in finding you a teaching positions we will support you throughout the whole process. As well as being here to answer any questions you may have to work out if this is the right role for you, we will also be there for you moving forwards after you have accepted your new posts. So whether you are a UK trained teacher starting a role in a local school, or and overseas trained teacher who is relocating to the UK, the support also continues after you start a new role, so if there is every anything which you need, no matter how big or small, the Dunbar team are here.
