About Us:
We are working on behalf of a vibrant and supportive all-through Special Educational Needs (SEN) school based in Buckingham, catering to children and young people from primary through to secondary ages with a variety of learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Our aim is to provide a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and be committed to making a positive impact on their education and development. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons, managing classroom environments, and working collaboratively with our support staff to meet the unique needs of each pupil.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess a creative and engaging curriculum tailored to the specific needs of your pupils.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SEN specialists, and therapists to support pupil progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor pupil progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to pupil development.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives aimed at improving the overall quality of education and wellbeing for all pupils.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ideal but not essential.
- Experience working in an SEN environment or with children with additional needs is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and SEN best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for all children.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage challenges with patience and empathy.
