The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join the dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a supportive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive support and mentoring to ensure their professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback to pupils, parents, and senior staff.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and take part in school-wide initiatives and events.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, adhering to the school's policies and procedures.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and completion of initial teacher training (PGCE or equivalent).
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge: A sound understanding of the primary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Knowledge of SEN best practices is advantageous.
- Attributes: A positive, proactive, and flexible approach with a genuine passion for teaching and learning. A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
