Geography Teacher (SEN School)

Are you a dedicated Geography Teacher with a passion for supporting the educational journey of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Dunbar Education is looking for a dedicated Teacher to join our team at a leading SEN school in Hertfordshire.

Must Have:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with SEN children
- DBS on update service
- Qualification to teach Geography

Job Description:
As a Geography Teacher at our SEN school, you will be responsible for delivering an engaging and inclusive Geography curriculum tailored to the unique needs of our students. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a love for Geography while supporting the overall development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that cater to the individual needs of SEN students.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and engagement from all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff members, ensuring personalised support for each student.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure effective classroom management and student support.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in SEN education and Geography teaching.
