Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled IT / Computer Science Teacher to join our forward-thinking school in Corby, Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality IT and Computer Science lessons, while inspiring students to excel in this crucial field. This is a permanent role with the opportunity for additional leadership responsibilities, starting either ASAP or in January.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IT and Computer Science lessons that cater to students across different key stages.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth in digital literacy.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support for improvement.
- Collaborate with the wider teaching team to enhance the IT/Computer Science curriculum and ensure high standards of learning.
- Keep up to date with advancements in technology and integrate relevant trends into your teaching.
- Potentially take on leadership responsibilities within the department, supporting curriculum development and mentoring junior staff.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in IT and Computer Science.
- Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students in the field of technology.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills, ensuring a productive and engaging learning environment.
- Experience or interest in taking on leadership responsibilities within the department.
