I am recruiting for a enthusiastic Dyslexia Specialist to join a Learning Support Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified person (Level 5 SpLD as minimum) to provide 1:1 tuition for pupils with specific learning difficulties.
The role would include the delivery of specialist academic study skills and literacy support, using a range of multi-sensory strategies to facilitate independent learning. The post-holder will have the ability to help pupils become more confident and independent learners so that they are able to use their enhanced skills to perform in line with their underlying ability.
Initially, the requirement is to teach 30 lessons a fortnight, with the opportunity, for a suitably qualified candidate, to support the delivery of study skills interventions across Key Stages 4 and 5, and to carry out assessments to secure Access Arrangements for external examinations.
