Role and Responsibilities
As a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the learning and development of students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
- Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver tailored learning activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
- Contribute to the overall well-being and social development of the students.
Requirements
- Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of various SEN needs and strategies to support them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
