Hours: Full-time, Standard Teaching Hours with Full Teaching Responsibilities
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join our school in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis starting in January. The successful candidate will have a passion for music and the ability to inspire students across a range of year groups, fostering both their musical talents and their love for the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and dynamic Music lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Encourage students to develop their practical skills in performance, composition, and listening.
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support their musical growth and development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to all abilities.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular music-related activities, such as performances and concerts.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the Music curriculum and support wider school initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A passion for Music and the ability to inspire students in the subject.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Experience teaching Music at secondary level, with the ability to differentiate instruction for varying abilities.
- A commitment to extracurricular involvement, including concerts and musical performances.
