Nursery Keyworker

Job Description: As a Nursery Keyworker, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early development of the children in our care. You will be responsible for creating a warm, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for our children, ensuring their well-being, safety, and educational progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a group of children within the nursery, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate activities and lessons to promote early learning and development.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Conduct observations and assessments to track children's development and create individualized learning plans.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the nursery, fostering a sense of belonging and respect among children.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in childcare or early years education is essential.
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required.
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with children and a dedication to their well-being and development.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding training would be advantageous.
