Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary Science Teacher to join our team, focusing on KS3 and KS4 students. In this role, you will deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons that ignite curiosity and foster a deep understanding of scientific principles. You will create a supportive learning environment that encourages students to explore and question the natural world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality science lessons that align with the national curriculum, fostering a love for science in students.
  • Engage in collaborative planning with colleagues and actively participate in departmental meetings to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and technology to enrich the learning experience and cater to diverse student needs.
  • Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Encourage scientific inquiry and critical thinking through hands-on experiments and engaging instructional strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in a UK Secondary School.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the national science curriculum and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
