SEN Teacher Bedfordshire

Job Description

We are currently seeking a fully qualified Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our dedicated team in Bedfordshire. This position offers a temporary-to-permanent contract with a competitive daily rate of £160 - £175.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Special Educational Needs (SEN) Education: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with special educational needs.

  • Individualized Learning: Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of each student.

  • Inclusive Classroom: Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic and social development of all students.

  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Provide feedback to students and parents.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and parents, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

  • Behavior Management: Implement effective behavior management strategies to support positive classroom behavior.

  • Continued Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SEN education and attend relevant training and workshops.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialization or experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • A passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
