SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Do you have a passion for helping children to achieve their full potential?

Are you seeking a new position that is equally challenging yet rewarding?

Dunbar Education are currently seeking Primary SEN Teaching Assistants to work across Primary Schools in Bedfordshire.

We work closely and exclusively with a number of schools in the Bedfordshire area and, due to a high demand of work, we are looking to expand and would love you to join us! We are seeking Primary SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a 1:1 or group basis in our client schools for long-term or permanent contracts. You will be working alongside pupils with a variety of special educational needs such as Autism, ADGD, Speech and Language difficulties, SEMH, visual and hearing impairments and physical disabilities.

Our ideal candidates will have a confident approach and demonstrate their commitment to pupil progress and inclusion. You will be motivational and respond to the needs of the pupil while ensuring they learn, stay engaged and make progress. The successful applicants will have patience and experience using positive behaviour management to motivate and focus pupils.

All of our client schools benefit from an experienced SLT team and class teachers who are incredibly supportive and appreciative of their support staff (that's why we pride ourselves on working with them!) Our client schools are inclusive and offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all newcomers. This is a great chance to make a real difference to children's learning experiences.

Ideally you will have recent school experience. Applications are also welcome from candidates with relevant work experience.

Benefits of working with Dunbar Education:

  • A dedicated and experienced consultant - our consultant recruiting for Bedfordshire, Sophie, was previously a teacher so she has excellent knowledge within education!
  • Tailored job searching to support you in securing your dream role
  • Up-to-date market knowledge and honest advice regarding your career
  • Continued support even when you've secured a position in one of our schools
