Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join the team. The successful candidate will work closely with the staff to support the individual learning needs of pupils with SEN, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized learning activities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, offering feedback and strategies for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly autism, is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are preferred but not essential.
