We are currently seeking a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team.

Job Description: As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with special educational needs. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of these students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure students' needs are met.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, behaviors, and achievements.
  • Help students with daily tasks, including personal care if required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is mandatory for this role. If you do not currently possess one, you must be willing to obtain it before starting the position.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students.
