Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with speech and language difficulties to determine their needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to each child's specific requirements.
  • Deliver individual or group therapy sessions to improve communication skills, articulation, language comprehension, and social interaction.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to support students' progress.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and individualized education plans.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • Preferred, but not essential: Previous experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of various speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest research and therapeutic techniques.
