Dunbar Education is excited to be recruiting for a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher with a specialism in French, on behalf of an 11-16 mixed academy in central Somerset. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher to join a vibrant and forward-thinking school.
About the Role:
As an MFL Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for languages in students.
- Ideally offer Spanish as a second language to complement the curriculum.
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work to ensure progress and achievement in line with national standards.
- Collaborate with the MFL department to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources that enhance student learning.
- Support the school's ethos of continuous improvement and contribute to the wider school community.
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS and experience teaching French at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Applications from both ECTs and more experienced colleagues are both warmly welcomed.
- The ability to offer Spanish is highly desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for languages and the ability to inspire students to achieve their best.
