SEN Teacher/Tutor
Role Overview :
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher/Tutor in Towcester to become part of our team in a SEN Secondary School. In this position, you will offer personalised 1:1 support and guidance to students aged 11-16, encouraging their involvement in the learning process and helping them achieve their specific goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilites :
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Provide 1:1 support to enhance pupil engagement.
- Ensure a personalized and inclusive learning experience.
- Develop and implement tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Set clear learning targets based on prior attainment.
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for progress.
- Manage and address behavior challenges effectively.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.
- Stay updated on SEN education developments and best practices.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- At least 6 months of UK SEN experience.
- Passion for working with pupils with special educational needs
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices
- Excellent communication skills.
- Patience and resilience in challenging situations.
- Commitment to full-time term-time work.
