A primary school based in Milton Keynes is looking for an outgoing Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in year 1 with Autism and Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. This will be a full time, ongoing role with the opportunity for a permanent contract.
As the successful Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the pupil both within the classroom and within an individual learning area. You will work closely with the class teacher to support the pupil with their learning, social development and behaviour.
You will be confident in building a positive rapport with the pupil, managing their triggers and de-escalating behaviour. The pupil has low academic abilities so you will be fundamental in raising attainment.
