We are currently recruiting for a 1-to-1 SEN teaching assistant in Bedfordshire. This role is a full-time, permanent position and will involve providing support to an individual student on the special educational needs register with learning difficulties.
The successful applicant will have experience of working with SEN students and must demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Special Educational Needs procedures, strategies, and legal requirements would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Key duties will include: providing help with activities of daily living, assisting with activities that promote independence and self-help skills, helping with physical education sessions, administering medication as directed by qualified medical staff, providing help and support for student's sensory/communication needs, following care plans/records when appropriate, liaising effectively with families and other professionals as required, attending meetings related to the student's needs and reviewing care plans/records when necessary.
Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience (range between 20k - 30k).
