Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). In this role, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure that every student can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt lessons and materials.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the educational team.
  • Support students in developing essential life skills.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with diverse student needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications and DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
