Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Art Teacher with graphics experience to join our team on a temporary basis from September to December. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for art and encouraging artistic expression and technical skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student creativity and confidence.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Organize and manage classroom resources and art materials effectively.
  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments.
  • Participate in school events, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities related to the art department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the art curriculum.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching art at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art and Design.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
