We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced ASD Specialist to provide support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in primary schools across Milton Keynes.
As an ASD Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialist support to children with ASD, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that each child receives the support they need to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide specialist support to children with ASD, including developing and delivering individualised education plans.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop strategies and interventions that support children's learning and development.
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child with ASD and adapt support as needed to ensure they are making progress.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the children's learning and development.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support the children's learning and development.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD, preferably in a school setting.
- In-depth knowledge of ASD and the different strategies and interventions that can support children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
