Responsibilities:
- Work closely with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to facilitate their learning and development.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing strategies and interventions outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior plans.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic growth of students with ASD.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the holistic support of students with ASD.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with ASD is desirable.
- Experience in a care or support worker background is advantageous.
- Understanding of ASD and familiarity with strategies to support individuals with ASD.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with special needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
