Position Overview: As a Behavior Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students to achieve their full potential by promoting positive behavior and fostering a supportive learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are empathetic, patient, and have a deep understanding of the challenges that students may face in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students to identify and address behavioral issues and challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioral needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Attend relevant training and professional development sessions to enhance your skills.
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor for students.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in behavior management or mentoring is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and create a safe and supportive environment.
