Primary School in Oxford
Full-time | Term-time only
Start: ASAP or September 2025
£90-£110 per day (depending on experience)

Dunbar Education is working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school in Oxford, who are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 5. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the life of a pupil who needs consistent, calm, and confident support to fully engage with school life.

The Role:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with behavioural and emotional needs

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCo, and parents to implement strategies and monitor progress

  • Promote emotional regulation, self-esteem, and positive behaviour

  • Be a reliable, proactive, and compassionate adult role model

  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

About You:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally within a school setting

  • Confident managing behaviour in a supportive and non-confrontational way

  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships quickly

  • Calm under pressure, consistent, and nurturing

  • Team player with excellent communication skills
