We are presently searching for committed and enthusiastic Learning Mentors to join Dunbar Education in the Letchworth area.
As a Learning Mentor, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Establish an enjoyable, imaginative, and captivating learning environment that fosters student growth and progress
- Customise instructional techniques to suit the distinct needs of individual students, ensuring a personalised learning journey
- Offer emotional, behavioural, and academic assistance to students, playing a pivotal role in their overall well-being
- Inspire students to advance in their studies and cultivate a respectful atmosphere for learning
- Effectively manage student behaviour and reinforce boundaries to cultivate a positive learning atmosphere
- Support students with complex mental health diagnoses and learning difficulties, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia
- Collaborate with students to help them achieve their EHCP targets and aspirations
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN
- Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience to meet the diverse needs of students
- The ability to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and kindness toward students
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
