Behaviour Specialist Learning Mentor (Letchworth, Full-Time Positions Only)

We are presently searching for committed and enthusiastic Learning Mentors to join Dunbar Education in the Letchworth area.

As a Learning Mentor, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Establish an enjoyable, imaginative, and captivating learning environment that fosters student growth and progress
  • Customise instructional techniques to suit the distinct needs of individual students, ensuring a personalised learning journey
  • Offer emotional, behavioural, and academic assistance to students, playing a pivotal role in their overall well-being
  • Inspire students to advance in their studies and cultivate a respectful atmosphere for learning
  • Effectively manage student behaviour and reinforce boundaries to cultivate a positive learning atmosphere
  • Support students with complex mental health diagnoses and learning difficulties, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia
  • Collaborate with students to help them achieve their EHCP targets and aspirations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience to meet the diverse needs of students
  • The ability to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and kindness toward students
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
