Are you a skilled Behaviour specialist passionate about working in Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings? An exceptional opportunity awaits you at our SEN school in Tring. We seek a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Behaviour specialist.
Position Overview: As a Behaviour Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for our students. Your expertise in reading and utilising Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Behaviour Support Plans will be vital in designing and implementing effective strategies to support students with behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians to understand individual students' needs.
- Analyse and interpret EHCPs and Behaviour Support Plans to develop targeted interventions and behaviour management strategies.
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments and analyse data to identify triggers and patterns.
- Design and implement evidence-based behaviour intervention plans.
- Provide training and support to staff in implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of behaviour plans, progress, and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Behaviour Analyst in an educational or SEN setting.
- A solid understanding of EHCPs and Behaviour Support Plans.
- Strong knowledge of behaviour analysis principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
- Ability to gather and analyse data to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement behavioural interventions.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- A commitment to promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment.
