Job Title: Chemistry Teacher
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join our inspirational school located in Berkshire with easy access to London. As a Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging lessons that meet the curriculum requirements, providing a safe and enabling learning environment for all students, writing regular pupil reports, and actively engaging in school initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to students across different ability levels.
- Prepare and deliver lessons in accordance with the curriculum requirements.
- Create a safe and enabling learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
- Write regular pupil reports as per the school's reporting schedule to provide feedback on student progress.
- Utilize the school's monitoring and tracking systems to consistently review and assess student progress.
- Act as a tutor for a group of pupils, fully committed to the tutoring programme.
- Participate in interactive open days, new pupil taster days, assessment days, open evenings, New Girls' Day, and departmental initiatives to assist with attracting new pupils to the school.
- Attend parents' evenings and provide informed feedback to parents and pupils on student performance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and be prepared to share ideas and initiatives to contribute to the overall success of the department and the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Chemistry or related subject.
- Experience teaching Chemistry to students at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and a passion for inspiring students in the subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive lessons for students of varying abilities.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Willingness to participate in school initiatives and contribute to the school community.
