Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure a productive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, following pre-prepared lesson plans.
Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Encourage student engagement and participation in learning activities.
Provide support to students as needed, fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Liaise with teaching staff and senior leadership to report on student progress and any issues arising during cover sessions.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a school setting or with children and young people is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas and year groups.
A passion for education and supporting the learning journey of young people.
