Overview: Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team in Northampton. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of education experience in the UK and a passion for supporting students' learning and development. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of education in the absence of regular teachers, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting the overall ethos of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in learning activities.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources provided by regular teaching staff.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline according to the school's policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to participate.
- Provide support to students in their learning, offering assistance and guidance when necessary.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to regular teaching staff as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the school and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of education experience in the UK, preferably as a Cover Supervisor or similar role.
- A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students' learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
