Role Overview: As a Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences on a daily basis. This role offers flexibility and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, possess strong classroom management skills, and are looking to gain valuable experience in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classes during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure that students remain on task.
  • Support students in their learning and address any queries they may have.
  • Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with the school's behaviour policies.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required by the school.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain student engagement.
  • A genuine interest in education and student development.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to work.
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics; A-levels or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
