Position Title: Full-Time Curriculum Leader for Health and Social Care
Location: Central Buckinghamshire
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated curriculum leader to join an 11-18 mixed academy in central Buckinghamshire. As a curriculum leader, you will play an integral part in leading, managing and developing the Health and Social Care department to the highest standard possible.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the department in achieving academic excellence through innovative teaching methods
- Developing engaging lesson plans
- Providing high-quality assessment and marking of student work
- Liaising with relevant bodies, staff and parents
- Preparing and delivering a comprehensive induction program for new staff members
- Ensuring that student progress is tracked effectively
- Managing and leading the development of departmental objectives
Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant degree, qualifications and professional teaching experience in Health and Social Care
- Excellent subject knowledge of Health and Social Care and BTEC L1&2, as well as BTEC L3 Extended Certificate and Extended Diploma
- Up to date with changes in curriculum
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in successfully leading a department (desirable)
