About the Role
Dunbar Education is recruiting for an ambitious and dynamic Head of Health and Social Care on behalf of a highly supportive secondary school in Buckinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher with leadership capabilities to step into a key role leading the Health and Social Care department.
The department delivers the NCFE Cache Level 1/2 Technical Award starting in Year 9 and BTEC Level 3 qualifications at KS5. You will be working alongside another full-time teacher, with the opportunity to shape and develop the curriculum while ensuring students are supported academically and socially.
This role involves teaching Health and Social Care across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The department also provides students with real-world experience through work placements in local pre-schools and primary schools, along with Post-16 apprenticeships. Collaboration and well-being are key within the team, making it a great place to work and grow professionally.

The ideal candidate will:
- Be a passionate and skilled teacher with a track record of success in Health and Social Care.
- Be confident in teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Have experience in a range of Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, particularly in Health and Social Care.
- Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to guide a department.
- Be committed to running after-school interventions or clubs as part of the school's extended provision.
- Have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative, team-focused attitude.
