Client Overview: Dunbar Education are seeking experienced Daily Supply Cover Supervisors to support South-East Bucks on a temporary basis. With our agency having four schools in close proximity looking for regular supply cover, this role offers the opportunity for consistent work in various school settings. Previous UK Cover Supervisor experience is essential for this position.
Job Description: As a Daily Supply Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff. You will be responsible for overseeing classes, delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, and maintaining a positive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily cover for absent teachers by supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared lesson plans.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Engage students in learning activities and provide support as necessary to maintain their focus and participation.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of learning during absences.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and behavior management.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behavior during cover periods.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a UK school setting is mandatory.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
