Position Overview: I am seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Head of Sixth Form to join a passionate team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the leadership and management of our Sixth Form, supporting the Head of Sixth Form in shaping the educational journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Sixth Form in the strategic planning and development of the Sixth Form curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to Sixth Form students, helping them to achieve their full potential and navigate their educational journey.
  • Assist in the coordination of extracurricular activities and enrichment programs to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of student progress, working closely with teaching staff to drive academic achievement.
  • Support the Head of Sixth Form in managing the day-to-day operations of the Sixth Form, including timetabling and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to maintain strong communication and partnerships.


  • Bachelor's degree in Education, or a relevant subject. A postgraduate degree or further qualifications in education management is desirable.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a secondary school or Sixth Form setting.
  • Strong understanding of current educational trends and best practices in Sixth Form education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students, fostering a culture of academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Dedication to promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
