About the Role:
As a Design Technology Technician, you will be responsible for a range of essential tasks to support the smooth functioning of the design department. Key responsibilities include:
Materials and Equipment Preparation: Prepare materials and equipment for design projects, ensuring they are ready for use in lessons.
Stock Checking: Conduct regular stock checks to monitor and manage inventory levels efficiently.
Storage Management: Oversee the storage of students' work, worksheets, and other departmental materials, maintaining an organized and accessible system.
Student Assistance: Assist students as directed by the Curriculum Leader, providing support during practical activities and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within a design and technology department.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from the Curriculum Leader.
