In addition, you will also have the opportunity to teach Design Technology, providing hands-on learning experiences for students in this field. Requirements: To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a STEM-related field.
  • Extensive experience teaching STEM subjects at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current STEM educational practices and trends.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the development and implementation of the school's STEM curriculum.
  • Teach Design Technology, providing engaging and hands-on learning experiences for students.
  • Foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment that promotes innovation and problem-solving.
  • Provide leadership and support to STEM teachers, promoting their professional development.
  • Collaborate with departments across the school to integrate STEM principles into the wider curriculum.
  • Establish partnerships with external organizations to enhance STEM opportunities for students.
  • Organize and facilitate STEM-related events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging STEM technologies, practices, and initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of STEM initiatives, implementing strategies for improvement.
