Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Drama/English Teacher to join us on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong background in both Drama and English education, with the ability to inspire students and foster a love for literature and performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama and English lessons that cater to the needs and interests of students, in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity and develop their communication skills.
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including drama techniques, role-playing, and creative writing exercises, to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of literature and performance.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate cross-curricular activities and initiatives that promote literacy and creative expression.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Specialization in Drama, English, or related subject area.
  • Experience teaching Drama and/or English at the secondary level, with a demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and empower students.
  • Enthusiasm for extracurricular activities and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
