Dunbar Education is thrilled to collaborate with a supportive primary school in Milton Keynes in their search for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team from September 2024.

Role Overview: As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will have the opportunity to further develop your teaching skills and expertise under the guidance of experienced mentors. You will assume responsibility for planning and delivering engaging lessons, providing high-quality instruction to students across various year groups and subjects. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to continue their professional development and make a positive impact in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with an assigned mentor to develop your teaching practice and pedagogical skills
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Assess student progress and provide targeted support and intervention where needed
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive school culture
  • Engage in professional development opportunities and reflective practice to support your ongoing growth and development
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Completion of initial teacher training (ITT) and induction year (NQT)
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school ethos
  • A proactive and reflective approach to professional development
