Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and serving of nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines and allergies.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations.
- Monitor children during meal times, ensuring they are seated, well-behaved, and supported as needed.
- Engage with children in a positive and nurturing manner, encouraging good eating habits and table manners.
- Collaborate with the nursery staff to ensure smooth operation of meal times and communicate any relevant information regarding children's dietary needs or preferences.
- Assist with cleaning and tidying up after meals, including washing dishes, utensils, and high chairs.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and nursery staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with young children.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and needs of the nursery.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid food handling and hygiene certification.
- Updated First Aid
- Background check clearance.
