Early Years Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Early Years Manager to join our team at our beautiful nursery in Northampton!

As the Early Years Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for children aged 0-5 years. You will lead a team of passionate educators, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall management and administration of the early years education center.
  • Develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes the holistic development of children.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of early years educators, providing ongoing support and performance evaluations.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, ensuring effective communication and involvement in their child's learning journey.
  • Monitor and assess the progress and development of children, providing individualized support and interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, professionals, and community organizations to enhance the learning opportunities for children.
  • Stay updated with the latest research, best practices, and trends in early childhood education, and implement innovative approaches accordingly.
  • Manage the center's budget, resources, and equipment effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in early years education, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of child development theories, early years curriculum frameworks, and pedagogical approaches.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of educators.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills for record-keeping, reporting, and administrative tasks.
