We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher (EYFS) to join a school in Northampton. The successful applicant should have the necessary qualifications, experience and skills to create a positive learning environment for children aged 3-7 years old.
The salary for this position is between £25,000- £30,000 per annum depending on experience. In addition, we offer competitive benefits such as pension schemes and staff discounts.
As an Early Years Teacher (EYFS), your primary responsibility will be to deliver creative and stimulating lessons in line with the school's ethos. You must also assess pupils' development and record any observations you make accordingly. Other responsibilities may include working with colleagues to create weekly/termly lesson plans, ensuring pupils are safe during all activities, attending meetings, responding to parental queries or concerns etc.
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in childcare or similar and must possess knowledge of current teaching practices within EYFS classrooms. Previous teaching experience is essential; candidates who have additional qualifications such as the Early Years Professional Status or the Early Years Teacher Status would be advantageous but not essential.
