The Role: As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the education and well-being of young learners in the early years setting. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to children who may need additional help in certain areas of their learning journey.
Creating a warm and welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and exploration among early years students.
Monitoring and recording children's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents/guardians as necessary.
Supporting the development of essential life skills, including communication, cooperation, and problem-solving.
Previous experience working as an Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous, but a genuine passion for early childhood development is essential.
An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and the ability to apply it effectively in the classroom.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with young children in a patient and supportive manner.
Creativity and a proactive approach to fostering a stimulating learning environment.
Relevant qualifications or training related to early childhood education are beneficial but not mandatory.
