Dunbar Education is a leading education recruitment agency, dedicated to connecting talented educators with exceptional schools. We are currently recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years Department of our partner Primary School in Dunstable.
Position Overview:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the development and education of young children in their crucial early years. You will work alongside experienced teachers to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, ensuring that each child has the best possible start to their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Learning: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons, helping students develop essential skills in numeracy, literacy, and personal development.
- Supervision: Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs, adapting teaching methods to suit their individual requirements.
- Collaborative Work: Collaborate with the teaching team to plan and deliver creative and effective teaching strategies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
- Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Previous experience working with young children is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for early years education and a nurturing personality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Term-time only (39 weeks per year)
