Position Overview:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to children in their formative years. You will work closely with our partner primary school and nursery to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can develop social, emotional, and educational foundations that will serve them well throughout their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
- Support individual and small groups of children in their learning and development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff.
- Promote good behaviour and social skills in line with the school's policies.
- Help with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience working in Early Years settings is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning.
