We are currently in search of an Early Years Teaching Assistant (mornings only) to join the Early Years Department at our partner Primary School in Dunstable.

Role Overview:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and educating young children during their formative early years. Your responsibilities will include supporting the teaching team, creating a safe and stimulating learning environment and assisting children in building the fundamental skills they need for a successful educational journey.

This role is Monday - Friday, mornings only. Working hours are 8:45am - 1pm. This is a term-time only position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Morning Guidance: Collaborate with teachers during the morning sessions, contributing to the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
  • Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children during morning activities, whether indoors or outdoors.
  • Personalised Assistance: Provide one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs, tailoring teaching methods to their specific requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the teaching team to devise and implement imaginative and effective teaching strategies.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain precise records of student progress and facilitate clear communication with parents and colleagues.
  • Classroom Management: Contribute to the management of classroom behavior and cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working with young children is highly advantageous.
  • A genuine passion for early years education and a nurturing disposition.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to engage and motivate young learners.
  • A steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
