ECT - Final Year Students

Job Description

Dunbar Education is looking for an enthusiastic ECT to join a vibrant primary school in Bedford for a KS1 class starting in September.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant Degree to Primary Education, a minimum of 6 months teaching in a UK school (this can be student placements), DBS on the update service and be determined and hard-working so we can get the best out of you.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the KS1 curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation and growth.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support students' learning and well-being.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS (Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome).
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
