Position Overview:
As an English Supply Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of education within our school. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to Key Stage 3 students and delivering engaging lessons at GCSE level. This is a full-time position with a short-term contract, starting on February 26th, 2024, and concluding on March 28th, 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective and engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 students and GCSE level.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the U.K. curriculum and provide relevant and challenging coursework.
- Effectively manage classroom dynamics, demonstrating strong behaviour management skills.
- Implement intervention strategies to support students' learning and progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the English department and the school.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the U.K.
- Proven experience teaching English in U.K. classrooms, specifically to Key Stage 3 students and GCSE level.
- Strong knowledge of the U.K. curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management skills, including behaviour management and intervention strategies.
